Main improvements and new features of EasyProf 5.0

Architecture

• 64-bit architecture: The new version of EasyProf has been redesigned to adopt a 64-bit architecture, which increases application performance and stability by harnessing the full power of 64-bit processors.

Appearance and usability

• New, clearer and more professional interface: the entire user interface has been redesigned, as well as the app icons, which are now larger and more scalable.
• Dark mode: The new interface can be displayed in light mode (default) or in dark mode,more suitable for working in dark environments.
• Increase in font size: to improve readability on high-resolution screens and adapt to the zooms of the operating system, EasyProf integrates in its Properties(General Tab) a new option that allows us to increase the size of the texts of the application for greater
  readability.
• More customization options: From the app’s preferences, it is possible to customize certain aspects of the interface, such as grouping buttons by themes to save space in menus and optimize workspace on small screens.
• New views: new views and editors have been added to configure various aspects of the application, such as the new guide manager that allows you to customize how guides are displayed and behave to make it easier to align items on the screen.

Usability

• Assistance in Editing: EasyProf 5 includes many new features to facilitate the work of editors.
  • New buttons, keyboard shortcuts, and options in the context menu to speed
    up repetitive actions, move items, or navigate through the project.
  • New guide manager to customize its use and facilitate the pages composition. It allows you to create and manage page or master page marks, mass creation of guides in fixed locations or with custom separation, management of automatic guides and snapping, customization of anchors to change the size of elements, management of contextual information labels…
  • Automatic and magnetized guides for quick alignment of elements.
  • Contextual tags for real-time information about the location and dimensions of content items.
  • Primary and secondary selection: If you select a group of items to align, you can define the parent element with which the rest will be aligned.
• Glossary editor enhancements.
• New navigation button: you can navigate through the project from the toolbar, without having to display the Summary.
• Libraries view enhancements: new features have been incorporated to increase the library’s capabilities, such as the ability to replace an item throughout the course, detect and correct item names that could cause problems in some servers, or different filters to make it easier to locate and organize items.
• Redistribution of the property view: Properties have been redistributed to homogenize their use in all elements and give priority to the most used.

Features

• Design Manager: many new features have been integrated to facilitate the management of course design, including:
  • Possibility to use webfonts

• Animation Manager: allows you to use nearly a hundred predefined animations:
  • Input, output, and effects animations.
  • Nested animations: new animations are published at the end of the previous one.
  • Paragraph-animated text fields: Paragraphs appear or disappear one after the other, creating a single action.
  • Animated Carousel: Images are edited using input and output animation.
  • Animated test: the change of questions is done via an input and output animation.
  • Animated progress bar: The bar is loaded by an animation.
• Improvements in the workspace manager:
  • Ability to copy/move projects from one workspace to another.
  • Multi-select option: Select multiple projects to move, copy, duplicate, export, or delete at once.
  • Recover deleted projects: Allows you to recover a deleted project from the workspace as long as the data is not deleted.
• Improvements in different elements:
  • Audio and video: Volume control and progress variables.
  • Image: filters, effects, and image position.
  • New video and image formats.
  • Carousel: animation and position of the image.
  • Text field: List settings: bullets and numbering.
  • Progress bar: animation and rotation.
  • Button: possibility to use fonticons.
  • Built-in popup: Preloading and closing options.
• New events and actions: new events and actions have been incorporated into different content elements to multiply the options for interactivity and management of multimedia assets: Media / Interactive Elements/ Timer / Dynamic HTML / Title Manager.
