| EasyProf is authoring tool of Leonardo da Vinci project "T-ICT" |
E-Learning as an advanced system for
training and education using information and communication technologies (ICTs)
is a field that have received an increasing interest last years in most of western
countries.
The flexibility offered by this new learning system, together with the great
possibilities provided by the ICTs help to explain, to some extent, this social
and economic phenomenon, and at the same time open a broad field for research
and development in the near future.
In this sense, this initiative intend to increase our knowledge regarding the current situation and prospects for e-Learning in Europe. At the same time, it is oriented to explore the possibilities offered by this new learning system by means of a pilot project development.
The project is being carried out with the support of the Leonardo da Vinci Programme (Ref. E/02/B/F/PP-115.758) of the European Commission. It will be developed during the years 2003 and 2004.
Results of the project
Two key results are forecast. On the one hand, knowledge on
the e-learning situation in the different countries that are participating in
the project. In this study, each participating partner will analyse the current
situation and the future prospects concerning e-learning in their respective
countries. On the other hand, the development of an e-learning pilot scheme.
Each partner involved in the project will develop an e-learning pilot scheme
that will allow them to confirm the benefits and limitations of this new training
methology through a practical experience.
The results of the project will be published on the following website: www.t-ict.net
